This site was created as a source of information for anyone who is thinking about adopting, buying, rescuing or training a dog. I tried to make it as extensive and as unbiased as possible, however, my love for dogs shines through. Do not think that dogs are for everyone. It is a huge responsibility and most people do not even realize the amount of work and care that goes into it. If you live in the city, think twice before you decide on a breed. Dog breeds like husky or doberman that need a lot of space to run are not a good choice. Nothing is more painful than seeing people walking these kind of dogs in the busy city centers. On the other hand, if you live outside of town or in the suburbs, near the woods and have a substantial backyard… a bigger dog like pit bull will be perfect for you provided you have enough time to take the proper care of it. The saying goes: “The life of a parent starts after the children move out and the dog dies”. It is true that a lot of people buy dogs simply for their children. Children however, grow weary of the dog pretty quickly and it is you who is “stuck” with it. Don’t be fooled thinking your child will be capable of catering to the animals’ needs.
